Great day yet again ^^

Was hoping that some of the people attending the Danny Choo SOAS talk was gonna pop by but unfortunately no, could have been fun! Maybe they will turn up at EXPO.

Anyways, found out that one of the people that I chatted to at the DC event was a friend of a friend of Mao’s and they had recently been out bowling. How small the world is!

Was good seeing Mao again after her being tucked away studying somewhere up North I think and great seeing a lot of new dolls and their owners.

Not so sure it was good seeing Horse and Blood dressed up as babies but maybe in some sort of weird parallel universe kind of way it might have been Dunno. Still speculating.

Actually arrived on time for a change, instead of my stupidly late arrival last time that made me miss like, well, everyone. And managed to have breakfast with hubby before leaving as well. And doing some pattern making but that is another story.

I got an early B-pressie from hubby today: Spanking brand new Canon EOS500D with a basic lense.

Opened box and manual was in French O.o
Well, I do understand and read a bit of French but ehm, not so much that I will be able to decipher a manual.
However, I am not a big fan of manuals anyway.
The way I see it: If a product requires a manual it is not very user friendly anyway. Functions should be intuitive and logical and work in a common sense kind of way.

So, started playing around with varied results which I decided to share for all to see lol!

Getting over a cold so was a bit on the tired side today.

Arrived around noon and walked up and down and found no-one So had a rest on a bench watching all the cos players walk by.

Darth Vader and his stormtroopers walked by a couple of times with a couple of siths on on tow.
And a couple of Yoko’s who, I am really sorry, looked far from right. Did see one later on that was more like it so that was cool.
Lots of free hugs and kisses available as usual and the predator and alien team.

After watching the crowd for around an hour had another tour and found the group ^^

Was good to meet people from Rezindolz that I had not met before.

Badness was not so bad today, why not? LOL
Maybe because of less crossdressing men

Oh, and introduced the dolls to a nice girl and her dad and gave them my card so if you are reading this, hello ^^

The theme for today was Alice in Wonderland and I made Yoko the Queen of Hearts and Sasara Alice. I was planning on making Cinnamon the rabbit but I ran out of time so now I am stuck with some checked ribbon >< Oh well, I am sure I will find a use for it at some point.

As always the badness took hold at the end of the day but most of the day was good clean family fun

My commission fitted fine btw so yay!

And got rid of a pair of boots that I had been lying around for a year without being used so another yay!

Lovely day at the Royal Festival Hall with lots of dolls and new faces + a visitor from Australia who just happened to be in London.

Note to self, should try that when on holiday somewhere with time to spare, seek out a BJD meet ^^

Made Yoko some new clothes ^^

I felt she needed a body suit so started making one.

The boobs turned out to be a challenge as well as her very curved back but managed to get nice straight lines and a good fit.

First fit sample

Sideseam was not good

Back looked good

Second fitsample and the sideseam issue was almost sorted

Third fitsample worked well, only had to amend the pattern slightly on the crotch area

And sleeves was done in first attempt

Actual bodysuit and stockings – wanted them to be in the same colour but did not have enough of either fabric. Think it actually worked out pretty ok anyway.

Kimono top fitsample, pretty simple, just had to add to the length and the width of the sleeves

And made a hair-thingy as well when I gave up for the night on the kimono top

All done! She needs some boots…

I missed the pre-order, of course, because I actually only discovered her in May, and the pre-order ended end April, is that typical or not!!! So have kept an eye on YHJ! and Ebay but nothing was shipped so far but on my daily visit to dannychoo.com I saw that he noticed they had started shipping. Woohoo!

Checked Evilbay and in luck, one as buy it now at reasonable mark-up, but no money until end of month so asked seller if ok with that and luckily was! So hit the buy button and will be paying next week ^^
