Beryl got her wings today!

Fullset complete and she is looking absolutely stunning and cannot believe I actually got her finally!!!

Took some pics but ehm, hubby got the mac and I hate the PC to do any image work on so… Later ^^ But oh, she is just soooo photogenic it is beyond anything else.

I am ever so slightly falling more in love with the Beryl face than the Unoa Lusis – Help! I am starting to feel like a traitor! Still think the Unoa body is way the best though, so far not beaten… also not saying beaten by the Beryl but oh, it is a very close race here for me.

Bought lining for a coat for her last weekend before my shoulder turned weird and now thinking it might have been a good thing I did not start it before I had the wings. They kinda need holes at the back of the coat… Maybe I should make it a cape instead… That would actually make more sense… Unless the wings magically grows out of her back whenever she needs them… Hmmm…

And Piccies!!! Trying to get decent closeups with feathers in the way = hard when you have a point-and-shoot camera like me. Strongly considering a SLR… As hubby said: You could get one for one of your dolls. He is so right but, I would actually rather have the doll and stick with our ok but well, not very effective camera, for something like this. Under normal conditions it is actually rather good.

Beryl outfit arrived today in three little zip lock bags nice and neat – and no customs!!! Even sweeter.

Anyway, looking on Ebay they seem pretty cheap so thinking it could be fun finding some tiny ones and make her a really funky yellow beryl gemstone outfit…

Was invited to come join the London Doll Making Club to come present our BJDs and for us to see what they were into doll-wise.

Turned out that they make their own dolls out of cloth and some are doing their own porcelain dolls.
Would be very interested in making my own porcelain doll…

There was a small selection brought along that the members did show and tell about – arrived in the middle of this unfortunately as they seemed to have quite interesting reasons for being made.

Won some silk in their raffle, found a nice trim on their sales table and digged out a nice piece of fabric in their boxes of stuff ^^

Had some interesting conversations with the members and was told a lot of useful stuff which I unfortunately did not write down and me being rubbish with names, have now forgotten all about. If any of you read this, please tell me again ^^

Actually, got a bit confused over the location as I did not realise the meeting place was in a Church – I kinda expected a townhall/big office building.

Oh, and had my bus from Camden break down on me half way there as well – luckily one of the other busses on the directions stopped at the same bus stop. However, managed to get of at the bus stop after the one I should have been of at resulting in me having to trek the what, 300m backwards ><

And my trip home was delayed by stupid Waterloo Bridge being blocked of by dunno what - so generally I wasted a lot of time on travel today lol - bit like a normal workday. Oh well. London traffic for you.

But despite all my travel woes, weather was fantastic today and was good to finish a good meet with MauMau and Mich at Mackie D's (I learned a knew word today lol)

We are cute and we KNOW it!

After sort of winning her Friday afternoon last week on Ebay (winning bidder pulled out – yay!) I have been holding my breath for her to arrive.

Well, you never know with Ebay but seller had fab feedback and did not look like a scammer so thought, hey, why not throw my credit card out the window with the pin lol!

And after only five days of not being able to breathe she is here!!!

OMG is she just the most beautiful pissed of lady I have ever seen!!!
And she is finally mine!!!

After deciding not to buy her last year due to various reasons none of them money actually, I have been regretting not getting her ever since.
So actually finding one non-modded and with all the parts for a reasonable price within the EU was in my opinion a bit of scoop.

Now I just need to find her her default outfit and wings to make her complete – will keep my eyes peeled!
