So this crazy person dressed as a Storm Trooper dancing around Tokyo have an immaculate taste in dolls!

I might be wanting one of the Dollfie Dreams dollies, they do look rather interesting in the sense that they are super poseable and got super cute although not realistic looking faces.

Hmmm

If I did not spend any money on dolls I would actually be able to visit Japan…

So according to Soom’s site my girl will not be shipping until end June O.o

I paid her of end March.

Ridiculous waiting times.

Making me definitely want to consider if I want to invest in more Soom releases or if I should just not bother. Plenty of other pretty dolls out there, especially from Iplehouse and they seem to be able to ship within a reasonable amount of time.

*sigh*

I really have this urge to shop at the moment but there really is nothing out there to shop for!

If one comes up I would really really REALLY like to get another Beryl. This time though, does not matter if she is full set, got horns and hooves etc. I just want her pretty face! So hopefully the price will be a little less than if I wanted one with hooves and horns.

Also, would like to get the Unoa Chibis but that is gonna be a looooooong time before they come up for sale anyway and even longer before they will be shipped.

New Soom minis are not doing anything for me at all but Iplehouse new releases are potentials.

Also, there was a really good looking Leeke guy but their website is filled with bugs so I am not ordering anything from there. Also, he has got teeth which I do not find, apart from on Lusis, very attractive on a sculpt. They remind me of old porcelain baby dolls and I really do not like porcelain baby dolls or any baby dolls for that matter and for some reason they often seem to have their teeth showing.

I really should go shopping for materials but the fact is I am not going to be doing anything with them for a while so I rather shop for finished things at the moment… Although, I am still very reluctant to pay for clothes unless they are specifically for a certain doll, like the Unoss clothing, or part of a limited full set.

Thinking I can always make it myself if not better, then cheaper and how I would want it + being a perfectionist I can always find something wrong with shop bought clothes human or doll.

Here is the philosophical dilemma though: by it being already made does this then not make it better as it is actually there where the things I am thinking of making have yet to materialise and thereby does not have any quality attached to it?

And, by me being all philosophical here in the morning I missed out on seated tickets for Franz Ferdinand. Bollocks!

Thought I would just have a look at YHJ! and ta-da – Seina Unoss outfit up as a Buy it now sale – Grabby hands! Mine!
(Now it just has to get here that is)

So now Belle can play both the Seina and Aika part of the Andolrea Unoss book ^^
Although I cannot read it and have no idea what it is about.

Just need to locate the Seina wig now, how hard can that be O.o

Doing pretty ok I think in my Unoss quest.
So far got the Lolita outfit, the pink cat outfit, now the Seina outfit and of course the Aika outfit that Belle came with.

I just had my ransom note for my Unoa faceplates from Parcelforce and customs really are the most random place ever.

When I got the ransom note for the optional parts, which were less than the faceplates, I had to pay Import Duty as well as the VAT charge.

This time I have only gotten charged VAT which is more than last time but less in total including the Parcelfarce fee?

I am slightly, no acutually, I am VERY puzzled.

Perhaps one day I will call an ask them how they actually calculate stuff…

So put the Topaz up for sale last night on DOA and have had a few offers so far but most seem to be interested in her the fairy parts?

I am slightly puzzled by that.

Oh well.

Beryl got her wings today!

Fullset complete and she is looking absolutely stunning and cannot believe I actually got her finally!!!

Took some pics but ehm, hubby got the mac and I hate the PC to do any image work on so… Later ^^ But oh, she is just soooo photogenic it is beyond anything else.

I am ever so slightly falling more in love with the Beryl face than the Unoa Lusis – Help! I am starting to feel like a traitor! Still think the Unoa body is way the best though, so far not beaten… also not saying beaten by the Beryl but oh, it is a very close race here for me.

Bought lining for a coat for her last weekend before my shoulder turned weird and now thinking it might have been a good thing I did not start it before I had the wings. They kinda need holes at the back of the coat… Maybe I should make it a cape instead… That would actually make more sense… Unless the wings magically grows out of her back whenever she needs them… Hmmm…

And Piccies!!! Trying to get decent closeups with feathers in the way = hard when you have a point-and-shoot camera like me. Strongly considering a SLR… As hubby said: You could get one for one of your dolls. He is so right but, I would actually rather have the doll and stick with our ok but well, not very effective camera, for something like this. Under normal conditions it is actually rather good.

I dunno what I did but I managed to do something to my shoulder over Easter leaving me in agonizing pain so all my plans to be creative went down the drain, together with the Easter weather.

Also promised to do an article for the DMC member’s magazine which also had to be flushed.

But, after still feeling a sting yesterday I have now managed to get the article brushed up and actually printed out to proof read.

So hopefully it will be all ready to go tomorrow evening – or well, Friday at least. Work has a tendency to interfere these days.

Started out with breakfast in Camden with hubby before taking the bus to the Royal Festival Hall.

Got there and got a big wave from Twirl’s mum – heh heh.

There was a concert on in the festival hall which basically made us a part of the interval entertainment – bit uncomfortable being the photographed ones but people were nice and generally very talkative and curious in a good way. Gave my card to a nice lady who was very interested in our playing around so if you read this, hello ^^

They played Ravel I think it was, very nice btw.

Headed home for dinner instead of going to Wong Kei so looking forward to seeing pics from that part of the meet.

Hope I will be good to go for the May EXPO…
