Arrived at the South Bank Centre little over 12 completely forgetting that everyone was meeting at Embankment station at 12 DOH!

Oh well, went to the fourth floor and the first person I saw was grumpy man from last time!!! Wauw. Thought he was gonna be a real pain, same as last time, but apparently he was in a better mood this time around. Maybe because it was such a nice weather outside?

Anyways, waited around for half an hour before people started showing up and in that time he was playing really loud music? and burping out loud!? Bizarre…

Earlier this week met up with some friends and one had not seen this site yet, so showed her and she seemed really interested. Told her about meet today and she came by. Think we might have a potential new meet member ^^

…She might be right – I am very very tempted after seing Tatiana today but I would go for the Pierrot version though – they are just adorable and I really like their body sculpts. They actually got hips!

On a positive note, I listed stuff on Ebay last weekend for the first time ever on my own account and it all sold! Well, only two have paid so far but hoping they all will so I got funds for my resin addiction.

Listed more today so hoping it will sell – got two watchers on one of the items so hoping.

And another positive note: Finished my first commissions ^^ Hoping that buyer will like them and that they actually fit on her dolls as all I had to go by was measurements, and must admit, I have never ever tried that before – not having the actual person/doll there to fit on while doing the garment.

Gonna be interesting.

Well, in any case, I think I will be going to drop of the commissions unless of course hubby confines me to the apartment due to this cold thing. I really should stay in bed…

Still not done any shoes for Marilyn so she seems a little tinier than usual compared to the booted Scarlett and Cinnamon.

If I get time I will try to make a pair of wedges to go with it but only if time.

The inspiration was old pin up and wanting her to match her name, Marilyn.

So decided on a mohair sweater – but that was about it for the old pin up.

Rest is a bit more manga inspired, including the hair. Was deciding between the kiki wig and the dollmore that Cinnamon sported in earlier pics, kiki won.

Skirt turned out exactly as I imagined it – sometimes my ideas change a little from first thought to finalized idea but not this one. Even think it turned out a little better. The frill worked really well. Oh, I did cancel a ribbon idea simply down to the fact that I did not buy enough lol.

Butterflies was from a ribbon and cut them out and sewn on individually.

Marilyn had to borrow Cinnamon’s feet as she only has her high heel option and they looked kinda stupid in socks.

I have officially broken my diet and will now be broke well into the new year.

Who needs to eat…

I am officially on a resin diet. No more dolls this year.

Have soooooo overspent and feeling slightly guilty about it as it means there will be no shopping for myself for the next couple of months.

Not that I really need any new clothes but some are always nice ^^

Got a request for a pic of the red pleated skirt up for sale on DOA so thought, hey, why not do some pics – opportunity to try on new Dollmore wig as well.

This might be the first and the last time Cinnamon will be looking like this ^^ Her style is a bit more on the wild side and less ‘afternoon’ tea like.

Still think she looks rather good – think she would be able to sneak in…

I have pre-ordered, not yet paid, for two DOD limiteds.

Oooooh, I was going to say that these were my first limiteds but actually, Elfdoll Aurora is even more limited as there are only 40 worldwide. Kinda weird.

Have had a bit of a mess up with ordering them though as I really wanted the full set – but when I got around to it the boots for Kalix were gone – but then they showed up again ??? So hurried and ordered a pair so have ended up with two orders and two shipping costs!!!

Waiting for DOD to get back to me and let me know if they can combine, hoping, as I will otherwise have to pay parcelfarce twice for letting them into the country ><

Looking in hindsight, I should have just ordered the whole lot again and the first order would just have deleted itself. Oh well.

Think they will be here in November if all goes well.

Gorgeous 1.0 Sist – unfortunately sender sent her to the wrong address so now I have to wait for her to get to the UK – sit in customs for a week – then to be rejected by the wrong addressee – wait another 20 days before going back to sender – then be sent back to the UK – sit in customs for a week and THEN hopefully be released to me.

Guess I will see her sometime middle October – bugger – I got my parents here and I have not yet told them about my new hobby…

*sigh*

Maybe it is a sign that I should just stop buying more dolls…

Actually, DOD is releasing some yummy vampires on Friday /searches frantically for her credit card!!!

Got inspired Sunday and decided to make this outfit for my new girl – her name is lingering but am contemplating between Scarlett or Pippi at the moment… Maybe not ^^

Found the polkadot fabric for this outfit in my local charity shop in the form of an hardly used summertop a couple of weeks back. Thought it would make good dollie clothes.

Skirt is made from tulle and chiffon.

Sleeves are puffed using tulle and the ‘lace’ around the hem is crocheted directly on – realised I did not have enough of one white lace to do two hemlines. Took me around two hours or something like that.

I need better light!
