Unoa Boys out of Customs

Thursday, July 31st, 2008

My Unoa boys seems to have cleared customs and are being planned for delivery!!!

Hope that I can go pick them up Saturday and get them put together. Found some nice pieces of fabric that would do nicely for some steampunk jackets for the little fellas when doing my fabric clean up yesterday.

Hope they are as cute as in pictures.

Cinnamon went to her first meet today in London Green Park and I did not take any pics of her there – kinda forgot.

Raincoat Done!

Saturday, July 26th, 2008

Finished it!

Hat is officially cancelled. Made one Thursday evening and it looks awful >< . Out of cover thread and cannot be bothered to hike to the West End just to get that to give it another try.

More pics to come but right now have to do some food shopping and other general Saturday stuff – oh an prepping for meet tomorrow.

Unoa 1.0

Thursday, July 24th, 2008

Just made a bid for an Unoa 1.0 ><

She is not a full set but hopefully I can live with that should I win her…

Otherwise I will just have to go on the lookout for another one…

No space!

Raincoat almost ready

Tuesday, July 22nd, 2008

Almost there!!!

My third attempt on the collar worked – stitches are looking fairly straight and it fits into the actual neckhole – not sure what went wrong… Pattern was perfect and so was the fit-sample… oh well.

It just needs some buttons now but a bit late for that now… Guess my neighbours would not be too pleased if I started hammering away lol.

Underwear Pouches

Monday, July 21st, 2008

Decided to make some nice little pouches to use as storage for the underwear as well as doubling as a mini washbag.

My first line of thought was to make small boxes for it but seemed a tad useless, you cannot see anything through a box + it is one of those things that just gets thrown out or somehow lost.

With a little storage pouch you can see the underwear and at the same time keep it in one place so it does not get lost when not worn.

Underwear to sell at Meet

Saturday, July 19th, 2008

Made some underwear to bring the London meet 27 July hoping someone are interested. Not decided on a price yet – will have to do a little market research lol.

Cut out a black set as well with a red rose print on it but not sure I will get time to get it made up…

Also had pink set cut out but then realised I was out of pink lace >< Guess that one will just have to wait.

Stripe Set – 1pcs

Blue set – 2pcs

New Striped Underwear

Monday, July 14th, 2008

Decided to spend the weekend making underwear for Cinnamon – Actually she just got named that. Think it was her faceup that called for the name…

First fitsample – a little bit on the big side!

After a little amending to the spec and a much better fit is achieved.

Done ^^. Forgot to take some “making-of” pics of the bra top. Oh well.

A little posing for the camera – lost her wig somewhere in the fabric mess … Guess it will turn up when I tidy up. Oh – the wellies… I just think they are really cool lol!

Made a second set to bring for sale at the London meet end of this month – Improved fit and a little detailing added. Hope it will appeal to someone ^^.

Brown Sweater Girl

Wednesday, July 9th, 2008

Close-up of Lusis’ faceup done by me ^^. Pretty ok for a first try. Had some critical moments as when all the pastels blew off when I first coated it with Testors and the paint coming of the lips when I applied the shiny lacquer. But all saved so she is all photogenic now.

(I have not gotten around to finding a name for her yet so for now she is just Lusis as on the pack ><).

This was actually the first sweater I knitted when I first put the kit together from a very old yarn – once bought to make a knitted doll family when I was a teenager… ages ago. Little more left so made a crocheted hat and a knitted scarf. Scarf not in pics.

Belts are from some luggage tags that my hubby Robert got from one of the companies he made a website for. Perfect Unoa size ^^

Hotpants explained in earlier post.

Wellies made from table oilcloth and hobby foam pads for soles, glued and handstitched to the boot-body – there is a rain jacket in the pipeline…
